One of about 6 nice-looking temples in the city.
This one is relatively small.

Thums Up is the Coke of India, especially now
that coke is getting kicked out for putting pesticides
or something like that in the recipe.

I go to S.S. Maniyar Law College, named after my host
great great grandfather. This is a cool bust of him that sits
in the dining room.

If there was a soda called Thumbs Up in America, I might actually start drinking soda.

Also, your dog bit me today. The dumb one. I still love her, though. S'just a scratch.

Keep posting pictures, they're awesome :-)

And I hear there's a terrorist alert for Americans in parts of India. So if anyone asks, you're a Canadian. K?

Robin, I've tried to be Canadian since I landed, but people here are so happy when I say USA; I'll just keep quiet for the next few weeks. There are lots of corrupt policemen here in Jalgaon today, but I'm told that they won't accept bribes from foreigners lest we squeal.
I'm not a big soda person either, but it says Thumbs Up and comes in cold glass bottle and is made with real sugar cane grown locally, none of that high fructose corn stuff.

Thanks for the comments, I relish them.

Actually, I believe most of the rest of the world uses real sugar in their soda because it's less expensive. The only reason we use corn syrup is because we have economic issues with lots of the carribbean sugar production (like our embargo against cuba), so that raises the cost of real sugar above corn syrup, which is cheap since we also make a lot of corn.

And, please, refer to it by its proper name...it's Thums Up, not Thumbs Up!
